In GeoGebra Desktop, the Input Bar is by default located in the bottom of GeoGebra window. You can show it or hide it using the View Menu or can change it's position within the GeoGebra window. In the GeoGebra Web and Tablet Apps an Algebra Input is integrated directly into the Algebra View.

This page describes how a system administrator can install GeoGebra on many devices at once. For installations on a single machine, see GeoGebra Installation. Please note that all our installers are subject to the GeoGebra non-commercial license.

Chrome OS

If you are in one of the countries supported by Google Play for Education, you should be able to install our app via Google Play for Education.

In other countries you may need to install the Chrome App manually.

GeoGebra Desktop Software

Windows

To install GeoGebra Desktop on many Windows computers in a network:

• download the .msi installer of GeoGebra Classic 6 or GeoGebra Classic 5 to a network folder being accessible from all workstations, e.g. INSTALLGeoGebra.
• install GeoGebra silently on each workstation: msiexec /i INSTALLGeoGebraGeoGebra-Windows-Installer-6-0-389-0.msi ALLUSERS=2 /qn. You may want to put this command into a batch file to save time for typing. It may also be convenient to use remote command execution by using the PsExec utility to install GeoGebra on all devices.

Note that GeoGebra Classic will be automatically updating minor new versions (e.g. 5.0.3 to 5.0.4) by downloading the new version into the user’s Application Data folder and then using it after the next restart of the software. So, you will only need to do a new installation when you want to switch to a new major version (e.g. from 5.0 to 5.2).

Mass installations of GeoGebra Classic 6 will not update automatically.

GeoGebra Tablet and Phone Apps

iOS

you should be able to install the iPad app on mutliple devices using Apple Configurator or similar mobile device management tools.

Android

Please download one of the APKs from https://www.geogebra.org/wiki/en/Reference:GeoGebra_Installation

Windows 8

Please download the .zip file from our Partner Portal. It contains two subfolders: for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. Each subfolder contains an app package (*.appx for Windows 8, *.appxbundle for 8.1) and a PowerShell script that allows you to install the app easily.

Views and Perspectives

GeoGebra Classic provides different Views for mathematical objects:

Geogebra Classic 6

Each View offers its own Toolbar that contains a selection of Tools and range of Commands as well as Predefined Functions and Operators that allow you to create dynamic constructions with different representations of mathematical objects.

Depending on the mathematics you want to use GeoGebra Classic for, you can select one of the default Perspectives (e.g. Algebra Perspective, Geometry Perspective). Each Perspective displays those Views and other interface components most relevant for the corresponding field of mathematics.

Other Components of the User Interface

You may also customize GeoGebra Classic’s user interface to match your personal needs by changing the default Perspectives and adding other components:

GeoGebra Classic’s user interface also provides a variety of dialogs. Different accessibility features as well as keyboard shortcuts allow you to access many features of GeoGebra Classic more conveniently.
