The Vivo released a new smartphone “Y91i″. It is a budget smartphone that comes with some quality features like excellent design with a waterdrop notch, good cameras, good battery backup, etc. It runs with Android v8.1 operating system. The device sports a 6.22 inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display having a screen resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels, and a 19.9 aspect ratio and a density of ~270PPI. Last month, Huawei launched a group of new entry-level devices. One of those devices was the Huawei Y5p, currently the most affordable Huawei smartphone available today. We received an evaluation unit of the Huawei Y5p last week and we would like to share our first impressions of this cute new phone.

THE UNBOXING

The packaging shows the image of the Huawei Y5p. I noticed the other Y-series phones I reviewed before have the same type of packaging.

Inside the box are the Huawei Y5p, Micro USB cable, USB Charger, SIM Card ejector and some User Manuals.

HUAWEI Y5P FIRST IMPRESSIONS

I didn’t expect the Huawei Y5p to be a small smartphone. I guess I’m so used to reviewing phones with screens at least 6.2″. Even the entry-level phones I’ve reviewed before are bigger than the Y5p. Its screen is 5.45″, a size that was considered large in 2013.

Located on the right side of the Y5p are the power button and volume controls. On the other side is the SIM card tray which houses two Nano SIM cards and a MicroSD Card.

Found at the bottom is the Micro USB port. Notice there are no speaker grilles or the headphone jack which are usually placed in this area. Pacific rim 2 movie download in hindi.

Apparently, the 3.5mm headphone jack was moved to the top part of the phone.

I usually expect for entry-level phones to have plastic back covers with cheap-looking designs. That’s not the case with the Y5p. It has some elegance to it thanks to its shifting-color coat effect. The Phantom Blue looks great and I like it.

The Y5p is so cute! Coming from bigger, high-end smartphones, holding the Y5p is like holding a baby smartphone. It doesn’t feel tacky no slippery to the hands.

Igniting the screen reveals the bezels surrounding the display which kinda looks dated. The earpiece/speakers are noticeable on the upper bezel with the 5 Megapixel front camera on its right side. But at least its using an IPS technology display so you can be assured of viewing photos and videos with color accuracy.

The front may look outdated, but the back looks modern. The camera is housed in a square-shaped arrangement which is en vogue in today’s smartphones. I was actually fooled that it has dual-cameras when it actually only has an 8 Megapixel lens. I am not certain what the other hole is but I’m sure the one on the right is the LED flash.
